I am very happy with this hood. The quality of build seems solid, installation instructions were very clear, and it I think it looks great. It takes some planning and work to get it installed. You have to make sure your ceiling joists and ductwork is going the right direction or be prepared to do some modifications. I have a soffit and had to take down a bunch of drywall to modify the framing, run the 14/3 romex for the light/fan and modify the ducting. Then I replaced the drywall, taped, texture, paint and installed the hood. Fortunately it all came together nicely. I was able to held the hood in place while my wife drive the screws into the framing. I think it will be worth it in the end because the hood won’t be blocking the view in front of our cooktop.. Excellent range hood for the price! It was easy to install and looks great in my kitchen. The suction is powerful, even on the lower settings, and it removes smoke and cooking odors very well. The LED lights are bright, and the fan is much quieter than I expected. The stainless steel finish gives it a modern look, and the controls are simple to use. This was a nice new update to our kitchen and I love it. Originally we had a microwave with the hood instead but this gives it a more chic sophisticated look. The fan is a.little louder than my old one was, but ok. The package arrived safely(extremely well packed) and on time. The only problem we had was removing the knockout, the vent access.
