I just love my new cooktop. The design makes it really easy to clean. In terms of performance, I noticed that cook times are a little bit shorter. The gas dial has a wide range, so I can go from very low to high flame. Also having an additional burner is great. I can have multiple meals going at the same time. I purchased the LG LDTS5552S dishwasher and have experienced a persistent chemical odor since the beginning of ownership. The smell is difficult to describe precisely, but it resembles heated rubber, vinyl, petroleum products, or synthetic plastic. The odor becomes stronger as the dishwasher heats up and appears to be emitted from the lower vent area. The problem occurs even during normal operation without using the High Temp or Extra Dry settings. Over the past year I have tried numerous troubleshooting steps, including cleaning the filters repeatedly, running cycles without detergent, using dishwasher cleaning cycles, and removing additional plastic accessories from inside the machine. None of these actions resolved the issue. The dishes themselves do not retain the odor, but the heated air emitted by the dishwasher does. The smell is strong enough to travel beyond the kitchen and can sometimes be noticed on the second floor of the house. After more than a year of trying to live with this issue, I have stopped using the dishwasher altogether and returned to washing dishes by hand because I am not comfortable having my family continuously exposed to the odor. What concerns me most is that this odor appears whenever the appliance is heated, suggesting that materials inside the unit may be releasing volatile compounds into the air. I do not know whether LG has evaluated the long-term impact of breathing these emissions during routine daily use, but I believe this is a legitimate concern that deserves attention. I am disappointed because otherwise the dishwasher performs well. If LG is aware of this issue or has a solution, I would genuinely appreciate a response. Use the LG SideKick on its own or at the same time as the front load washer above to save time. Each washer operates independently, so you can wash one load in hot and one in cold at the same time. Start or stop a cycle or open the door on either washer without interrupting the other.

I do like the sidekick pedestal washer for small loads and when I spill on an article of clothing that I want to wash immediately. This really is perfect for what I needed. I had changed out my frame which raised the bed so that I could store large storage bins under this bed. I now needed a twin bedskirt with an 18 inch drop. When I first measured I was worried I might only need a 17 inch drop, if that even exists, but I am glad I went with this one because the 18 is perfect. I guess after the material gets washed and dried and fluffed it actually fits perfectly. The material is very thin cotton but it is not cheap or see-through in my room. The other items that coordinate with this bedskirt didn't match my current theme at all, so I am glad this is sold separately. I just knew the colors in this skirt would be perfect, and I think I nailed it matching it up to my other items I already had. I highly recommend this bedskirt because of the price point, the style, and the ease of care. I did run the iron over it just to perfect it to my standard, but it actually doesn't come out of the dryer totally wrinkled. Also, the corners have a perfect design, not that annoying third flap that just gets in the way, it has a simple slit and is slightly sewn around the corner that so it blends perfectly without showing any seam or opening..
