Once you do the base, I found the rest to be easy to build. It doesnt fit large shoe sizes (mens us 11.5) that well unless I angle them but fits my shoes perfectly. I love this shoe rack! I have a small room so the small footprint is perfect for me! However, pay attention to the measurements. It’s great for casual shoes but I tried to put a pair with about 2” heels and they don’t fit unless laid on their side. I wear a women’s size 8 12 and my shoes take up the whole shelf.
