I ordered the 50in linear electric fireplace for my bedroom and I love it. This class 2, UL & cUL listed electronic transformer is the perfect solution for wiring multiple low voltage fixtures. Class 2 transformers are intrinsically safer transformers because they are compartmentalized to allow no greater than 5 amps of current to be drawn on each compartment. Secondary wiring for class 2 transformers does not require conduit sheathed cable or clamp wiring techniques. This transformer has a low minimum load requirement of 1W to allow the use of LED products. Maybe dimmed using an electronic low voltage dimmer.

We’re very satisfied with this electric fireplace. It was not difficult to hang on the wall. It kept our bedroom warmer overnight on low setting. It is easy to operate – very clear remote control. We like the fact that it has a lower setting such that we don’t overload our electric panel. While the flame doesn’t appear “real“ per se it is still life-like and attractive to look at.
