This range hood is high quality. I bought a cheaper version a few years ago for my old house. I liked it, but now that I have this I can see where the cheaper one was lacking. This range hood is thicker steel that wont dent as easily. The oil tray is steel, the baffle filters feel commercial grade, the large duct size really moves a lot of air. I am glad I spent the money. Its loud but quieter than the old one. Relatively quiet for the amount of air it moves. The instructions are good, mounting is easy and secure. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports. Miyabi 5000 FCD Shotoh, 13cm blade. The photos, or petty knife, is ideal for the preparation of smaller cuts of meat and fruit, and vegetables. It has a fine carbide steel core with a hardness that gives very good cutting edge retention and initial sharpness. The core is embedded in 48 layers of steel which gives each blade its unique Damascus-design pattern. Razor-like sharpness is achieved by a three-stage grinding, sharpening, and polishing process called Honbazuke honing. The entire length of the cutting edge can be used as there is no finger guard. For best care, wash by hand, and maintain and sharpen using whetstones. We’d recommend using a wooden chopping board as opposed to glass, ceramic, or stone boards as these will dull the cutting edge.

By reducing surface water absorption, cracking, spalling, pitting, mold, mildew, algae, staining, and other damage and deterioration caused by surface water absorption will also be reduced.
