Pretty nifty and a game changer! We moved into a house with laminate floors but we still have area rugs too. So I did research on what I needed to not ruin the floors but keep them clean. Wow, this little vacuum is awesome, so much easier and faster than sweeping. AND it can vacuum underneath almost all of the furniture- it is practically flat! On carpet it seems to have a mind of its own though, it almost drags me along with it. I’m not sure if it is self propelled but it’s like holding back a persistent small dog from chasing a rabbit. ( maybe I'm old and not so steady!) A few draw backs- but nothing I can’t live with, but annoying: the design makes the vacuum not stand on its own. It’s top heavy so you have to lean against something or lay it down if you have to move something while vacuuming. When emptying the dirt receptacle - if you bang it too hard against a plastic garbage can the door falls off. I thought this was a one time accident but it has happened a few times. But on the positive side when this happens I clean the fallen door before putting it back on. This vacuum is perfect for my little place. It’s just a smaller version than the larger one that my daughter has. But the suction on this vacuum is outstanding! I read some of the other reviews who said it didn’t have much suction power but this one sucked up a lot of dog hair. I haven’t had a vacuum in a week and I have a golden retriever. You can see in the photo how much hair it sucked off my rug on the the floor and from the couch! I love this little vacuum!! it also has a really long cord, which is great. I don’t have to keep unplugging and plugging in somewhere else. It has several attachments that are helpful too. I also read where someone said when they vacuumed dust came out from the back. I didn’t have that problem at all and I’ve only got the one rug in my living room, which is a small space rug and then I have the hardwood floors, there was no dust coming out of this vacuum cleaner. I have just had one trial run with this machine to make sure it was running smoothly and I was very impressed. It was a daunting prospect for me to connect it to my computer as I am 77 years old but my daughter helped me to connect it up.
