We did a partial remodel and the tile regrout is next. Tub reglaze was done just before thus install and a truly great idea. Unfortunately, our plumber felt land locked into using a Symmons system to match our existing Symmons valve. We could not make Delta system work without a massive tear out. Universal valve didn’t solve the fit and screws in wrong location. So this Symmons was forced as Plan B. The Delta champagne gold was our intention and had already been installed in vanity without a problem. Not loving this very polished brass color. On the BRIGHT side The shower head is huge with 7 variations for water patterns. This is a 3rd floor main bathroom and I wish it had more pressure. 1.5 gpm and we are on a well. There were no install problems encountered by plumber using our original Symmons valve. And because it is a modestly priced unit, maybe we will swap out to a detachable spray head later on. Just know on the color - this is NOT even close to the Delta champagne gold. That is softer dreamy color and all quality, not at all like Symmons brushed brass. This was an open box purchase and I can't believe I scored this shower system! Unbelievable value for the open box price. I purchased this for a home build so I have not installed or used yet. ***Post installation review: Sometimes something too good to be true actually is. I would not rate this 5 stars if I had a "re-do", I would rate it 3 stars. The system works and it's almost as pictured. The set came wrapped and I checked to make sure everything was included and it was. The problem is that everything was polished EXCEPT for the bar - it was a brushed finish. So now I have a shower system that has two finishes. It may not bother some people, but it bothers me. I just wish that information would have been disclosed. To make sure everything fits perfectly, there are Unica shower bars in different lengths, with shower hose and brackets, to suit all conventional hand showers. Whoever uses the bathtub for bathing and showering would also want to be as flexible as possible when positioning the shower head. In the shower, hip height is sufficient as a lower limit; there you should perhaps opt for the 24" wallbar or you could go for a 36" wallbar depending on your needs. It brings incredible amounts of freedom of movement, making it perfect for families with children and grandparents. To help ensure that the shower hose is a perfect length it is included along with many bars.

That said, I am very excited to use it. The shower head itself looks absolutely gorgeous—very well made, solid, and high quality. Even straight out of the box, you can tell it’s designed to be both stylish and functional. The finish is beautiful, and it feels sturdy and premium, not cheap or flimsy. Once the weather allows us to finish the installation, I’m confident this is going to be a great upgrade to our bathroom.
