I needed to replace an older cabinet due to a new microwave that wouldn't fit in the old one, and decided to turn the setup into a coffee bar. This was one of the smoothest assemblies I've ever had for flat pack furniture. Everything was intact, lined up, no pieces missing. With the exception of a longer piece that I needed someone else to stabilize the other end of, I assembled it all on my own. It holds a microwave, two coffee makers, toaster, crock pot, bread, coffee making supplies, and wine glasses without any issue. My only complaint is that the wire rack with cup hooks is a little useless if you put anything remotely tall (like a standard coffee maker) on that shelf, but it wasn't really a feature in selecting this one, so I don't mind.. The outlet at table height is perfect for my little office fan (it gets hot when you are heat-pressing shirts for several hours) I also needed shallow-ish shelves so I can line some products up, be able to actually see them and grab what I need while im already standing up and I dont have to bend down and rummage through a dark cabinet for what I need, AND being an ADD stacker, its a plus because everything is within arms reach. I am going to stack my horizontal file cubbies in the big open space, and on the bar I can hang all my spray bottles. No BS, I love to put furniture like this together, but this one i had to actually leave the building twice. Its really hard to tell what side of each piece goes where and then, I sat for a good 10 minutes with one piece that I must have flipped and turned 20 times to get the holes to line up with the base. It turns out my base piece was backwards, I had to take way to much apart to get back to it and be able to flip it. It felt very Rubix cubish, and I was so annoyed with myself that I couldnt just turn the pieces around in my head to make it match the picture, and then be able to line it up in real life. This was definitely my least favorite thing to put together of all time. Im not saying its hard, Im saying my brain really struggled with it, and Im going to blame it on the instructions. Extremely sturdy once it was together, all of the surfaces looked great when unpacked, Im going to have to get some goo-gone to get all the part number stickers off, and boy howdy the box is HEAVY.. Very sturdy piece of furniture. Holds the microwave well since photo have added canned goods in the bottom cabinets and some lighter food item in the top. Was a timely build but it wasnt difficult. I would have given this unit 5 stars were it not for the fact that there was a critical mistake in the assembly instructions. It says that the lip of the shelves should be down, when in fact the lip should be up. Putting it together following the enclosed directions allowed the unit to be unstable and useless.
