Our first base had a small crack in one corner, most likely due to shipping damage. Wayfair immediately replaced it and the 2nd base had stronger packaging material and came in good condition. The drain is very slightly off centered, which is how it was meant to be, but since we were replacing an older base that was centered, the hole and shower drain didn't match up. We purchase a small offset drain attachment which worked perfectly. The base is sturdy and strong and with the rings on the underside for support, it did not need any filling material. Seriously one of the best investments we made in our whole-home renovation. We have it as the back splash in our kitchen and it gives it such a warm earthy feel. It compliments the granite countertops and would go particularly well with anything copper (I found some vintage salt/pepper shakers!) The guys had an easy time installing as well and were impressed with the quality. I also ordered samples of almost all the colors they had and it was a really difficult decision because they were all so beautiful. The Wetstyle Feel shower base is perfect. It is a soft white with a beautiful, somewhat matt (not shiny) finish that provides sure footing and the look of stone. We use a ceiling mounted shower curtain rather than a glass door to maintain an open look in a small bathroom. In our case, there was a bit of splash outside the shower pan with, possible due to the pan's slope. Our solution is to install a small quartz barrier (like a threshold).
