I waited for this fixture to go on sale and then I swooped it up! Long linear fixtures are not easy to find. 60 inches as exactly what I wanted. Beautiful lamp, nice black metal, much bigger in person than on photos, however the base is super small. I Had to replace with a different base as I couldn’t get it installed it otherwise. The light from it does disperse (vs hit the island directly on the bottom) so when you’re sitting down the light can be directly at eye level. Love the SkyPlug outlet product and ease of installation. The light fixture itself is a high quality product and really impressed with the integrated SkyX plug. I installed this as a replacement to a ceiling light. The earlier installer did not do a great job as the ceiling outlet box extended an inch or so below the ceiling and the hole cut was too large. I replaced with an old work box and used a medallion to help give it a finished look. This would not have been necessary for ceiling boxes properly installed to begin with.
