I just put this together, but it appears to be a well-made product. It was fairly easy to assemble (I did it alone). There are extra holes drilled into the side beams so you can vary the shelving height. I chose to install them as shown in the photo. I wish that the little hooks they provide could be attached to the top shelf instead of right in the middle. I can't see myself using them since anything hanging from those hooks will be pretty close to the floor. Nice size for my small laundry room. I like the color and size. The temperature is perfect in that it freezes but doesn’t over freezes. I haven’t had to thaw yet but I see that it has a water plug to conveniently run water out when thawing. The temperature dial on bottom is nice so that if kids play with adjustments I am able to see change but I chose to cover with a piece of tape so that they aren’t able to operate dial easily.. Great value for the money ! Easy to assemble, but needed about 1 hour, not 30 min as the booklet said:) Item looks cute and modern. What I don’t like, it has formaldehyde in the wood. You can smell it, but after one week airing out on our balcony it was much better. I would recommend to air it out first as these chemicals are poisonous if inhaled. Unfortunately most of the finish wood stuff you buy has it unless it is clearly stated that it is antique or completely natural. In the instructions in STEP 10, there is a little tiny mistake. Make sure you use up ALL 10 large screws before installing the square legs, otherwise you can unscrew them againlike me... :) Also, there was some glue in the front side (see pic), but I believe you can wipe it of with sunflower oil or “goo off” (or something like that) Hope this review helps!. I love the simplicity and low profile of this patio umbrella base stand! It says it’s 40 lbs. but it feels much heavier than that! It was extremely easy to assemble, five minutes! I’ve had my umbrella opened since I installed it and we’ve had rain and wind for the past week and this umbrella has not wavered or moved an inch! I’m in the process of finding a new outdoor table with an umbrella hole, and I have no worries that this base will keep the umbrella steady. I like the fact that it come with several hole adjustments for various size poles. I had to use the 1.5 inch hole tube. Update, have a new table with the umbrella hole.
