As another reviewer suggested, I had my electrician leave the shades off, and I’m now searching for alternative covers. If you don’t mind a dimmer room, this is definitely a 5‑star light. I have not yet installed one of three that I purchase. One box open. I love Wayfair with so many other product lines but my recent fan/light purchases are no where near the quality especially for the price that anyone would expect. Very disappointed with Wayfair/Birch Lane. Took 5 months to receive the fan, once received the fan did not operate properly also, Wayfair/Birch Lane advertises the fan with a light and bulb included on the fan. Don't waste your time or your money. I feel Wayfair/Birch Lane did not handle this situation properly. I know now they are a third party company aka middle man company. Very poor situation!. Vina.
