The sound is perfectly acceptable for casual listening, but it’s not going to satisfy anyone looking for high-fidelity audio. Fortunately, it has outputs that allow me to connect my own powered speakers, and that makes a huge difference in sound quality. Good sound, loud enough for a large room, and great input options. I got it for my small choir to use recorded accompaniment. I'm glad I can turn off the annoying lights.
