This product was just as described. The blue wrapping was easy to remove and did a great job of protecting the surface. Installation went well but took some time. The vent hose was very large and had to be reduced to fit properly through the ceiling. The lights illuminate the kitchen with a warm light perfect for leaving on during the night for nightime visits to the fridge. The fan is too loud even on the lowest setting. There are many pros about this range hood. First, it’s heavy duty - far heavier and sturdier than my previous one. Second, it’s all metal, even the filters, and includes a grease trap, which is a big bonus feature. The fan levels are great and it’s much quieter than our previous hood but definitely powerful. So far we are loving this upgrade. We did not use the vent hose it came with but bought an all metal one at our local home store for better greasefire protection. I will say the directions are somewhat lacking, however, if the person installing it knows what they’re doing, it shouldn’t be a problem.
