It’s petty heavy, so be sure to attach to a strong post - I got the Gibraltar Landover post (which is actually hollow) and slid it over a 4x4 sunk 17” into the ground which is 30” above ground (so the 4x4 is a total of 47”). It looks great and was definitely worth the money to upgrade from the low-quality, dented mailbox that the prior owners had chosen. I got custom decals elsewhere to finish the look.. Marion. It's beautiful but quite disppointed that it arrived dented and there is paint missing where it is dented. The dent also created a gap on the from of the mailbox. Very nice pole and it is very sturdy. The top piece was not attached. Bought the Arcitectura Mailbox too which was missing 2 bolts. Contacted customer service and the agent was most curt and unkind in her correspondence and told me it was attached to the base.
