I am very happy with this hood. The quality of build seems solid, installation instructions were very clear, and it I think it looks great. It takes some planning and work to get it installed. You have to make sure your ceiling joists and ductwork is going the right direction or be prepared to do some modifications. I have a soffit and had to take down a bunch of drywall to modify the framing, run the 14/3 romex for the light/fan and modify the ducting. Then I replaced the drywall, taped, texture, paint and installed the hood. Fortunately it all came together nicely. I was able to held the hood in place while my wife drive the screws into the framing. I think it will be worth it in the end because the hood won’t be blocking the view in front of our cooktop.. I got this range hood for my casita. And it was the perfect size, it arrived quickly and was easy to put together. I like that it has two options a ducted version and a ductless one if you don’t want to make a hole in your wall. A thing to note is it doesn’t come with all the necessary items to install perfectly. Looks beautiful!! Love it!! Even on the quiet mode it is somewhat louder than expected. It really moves the smoke and smells out of the house though!! I’ve had this BRANO 30-inch range hood installed in my kitchen for a little while now, and it’s a massive upgrade! The 900 CFM motor is an absolute beast. It clears out heavy smoke, steam, and cooking odors in mere seconds. Even with that incredible power, it stays surprisingly quiet on the lower settings. The triple controls are easily the best feature. The gesture controls (waving your hand) are super responsive and a lifesaver when my hands are covered in grease or raw ingredients. I also love the hands-free voice command when I'm busy at the stovetop. Installation was straightforward, and the brushed stainless steel looks incredibly sleek and gives my kitchen a high-end, modern feel. The baffle filters are a breeze to clean—I just pop them right into the dishwasher.
