We ordered this Zephyr duct cover from Wayfair, unfortunately the main panel (30”) arrived with some small dentsdings, crimpedbuckled edges and a very light digital imprint that could not be removed. I called Zephyr to ask if they would send a replacement. Without any hesitation and at no charge, Zephyr’s service rep (Brian) sent a whole new replacement. We just had this installed by an electrician friend - took him about 2 hours, but that’s because our old one was not a plug in and he had to drill a couple holes in our cabinet. The fan works great and the lights are nice and bright. The fan is a tad loud but I don’t mind because it works so much better than our old one. So far hood is great. Has good flow and lighting. Install was straight forward, although my clearance was pretty tight to get the duct out the wall. NuTone® interlocked make-up air dampers provide outside air when required to keep the air in the home fresher by allowing the range hood to operate at optimum levels. Slave dampers (MD6S, MD8S, and MD10S) are interlocked to the main automatic or universal make-up air damper and open in unison for synchronized operation. They close, along with the main damper, as soon as the range hood is powered off. Slave dampers can be ganged together to provide a cost-effective means to provide for higher volumes of make-up air.
