I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. Nice piece, but it's really more of an institutional item and assumes that you are replacing an existing urinal or have framing in place to accommodate an install. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports. We’re in the start of a much needed full bath remodel and one of our wish list items is a smart toilet after experiencing one on vacation. We have not yet installed this one but wanted to get it unpacked and give it some “test sits” since the shape is somewhat different than your typical elongated toilet. The seat feels slightly different in width but the more noticeable difference being the length of the opening in th seat. From front to back it’s 2” shorter. In fact the overall depth is 2” shorter which will be nice in our small bathroom. We want to do some more dry runs comparing the fell of this shorter style before we commit to installing it. The look is very nice and the toilet is pretty heavy. The finishes are smooth and high end in appearance.
