These lights are as described, tall and made of metal. The only ones I have had are the solar plastic ones that didn’t last long at all. I thought these were solar but due to my fault and not reading the description like I should have, I need a transformer and an electrician to install them for me. I read the instructions and installation is easy but due to the electrical part, I want a certified electrician to do this. They will be beautiful at night lighting up my sidewalk. I can barely wait. The lights light our pathway very nicely. The fixtures were easy to install, however I did not use the connectors that were supplied, they were not the best quality. These were a great find! I really was looking to include some lighting up to my front porch where its already dark. Honestly, at first when I pulled them out of the box, they seemed super huge, but in the end, I think they will fit well in the space. My front yard is still in the remodel state, with some gravel going in, but I think the photos give you the idea of the space. Only comment is, I wish there wasnt so much styrofoam used in the packaging. Other than that, I havent been able to power them up yet because the order is just lights, not the transformer to power them. I do appreciate the have a good paint finish and seeming construction. The solar lights are not bad at all. They’re not extremely bright more of a warm light, but I just put them into the ground a couple of days ago and it’s getting proper charge from the sun . They have a really good neat look to it and it makes your yard look real beautiful at night, especially with the design. I don’t like the fact that when it rains, it does not light up because obviously all the rain droplets are on top of the solar panel so it refuses it to light up at night but besides that I’m actually gonna buy some more because 12 for that price is a steal.
