The top looks like it can handle a bit of abuse. The color said grey but it’s really a greige color. It’s has the whitewashed look as well. The drawers are pretty deep. The bottom ones. The smaller ones not so much. Still a very nice item. It has the area to plug your electric. 2 outlets and 2 USB cables. I changed the knobs to some colorful ones I had around to match the rest of my furniture. It was a lot of work to put together though. It’s completely in pieces when it comes.
