These are just what I needed! They put together pretty well. I would recommend using wood glue for the pegs that hold the shelves on, just to make it a little sturdier. The nine cubes are in a vintage whitewash. The top, this is a game changer, as it is a beveled brown wood that gives luxury to the entire piece. The decorative bottom form prevents this from looking cheap. The measurements are spot on. This lovely Bookcase came un-assembled, of course. The directions were excellent. Every single screw hole lined up perfectly. I appreciate that the back of the bookcase has a panel and not just open! The back screw-down anchors definitely make a difference in the sturdiness of the overall piece. Assembly took about an hour - for UNHANDY ME, by myself. After assembly, I was able to carry this from room to room by myself without much difficulty. I love that I can purchase storage cubes that fit into the squares of the bookcase.
