The table console is wood but it’s not as “solid” as it states in the description. Assembly was straightforward but many of the pieces were missing number for parts but it was easy enough to figure it out. Nice table, pretty light. My only complaint is the pre-drilled holes were not drilled well so it cracked and shattered the wood. It is a nice looking wood and has a smoked smell to it which is pleasant. It could have been better quality wood but I can work with it. I’ve been very impressed with all the styles from Wayfair, from high end to low end and impressed with the variety and selection. I am very pleased with this console table. As mentioned in other reviews, it is pressed board with a laminate overlay, but you get what you pay for. From a distance, it looks very stylish, and the added metal contrast is exactly what I was looking for. The width of the table top was perfect for my space, and the lower shelf was a must to help dress up the space.
