If you read line by line it will be pretty easy to install. Between 2 people it took about 5 hours with breaks along the way. Again read line by line. There was a few latches that oneone side were place differently than the opposite side. We got stuck here for about 30 min before realizing it was incorrect. Hardest part is the roof.. Sylvia. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently got this shed and love it! I was really drawn to the exterior and the overall style of the shed. It compliments our house so well. I liked the added gable above the door, the details of the windows in the doors, as well as the window (which actually opens to give additional airflow) with cute shutters really give it a lot of personality. The exterior really does have the look and texture of wood, but I'm thrilled I won't be having to paint it every few years. It is not just a basic functional shed, it actually improves the overall look of our yard. This shed is also very functional. It has steel posts in each of the walls and steel rafters so it is very well built and sturdy. We live in an area prone to a lot of wind so I was initially concerned about the durability of the material, but once we built it, I'm confident it'll stand up great. I also really love the attention to storage detail. It comes with two shelves included that span the entire width of one wall, and lots of options on locations on several walls to hang them. There are tons of spaces and kits you can buy for additional shelving if you need. The shelves are reinforced with metal rods and very stable. I also liked the hooks that it comes with that attach the wall perfect for holding lawn tools or extension cords. The double doors open up very wide and we measured and our riding lawn mower will fit with no problem once we get it up and running this season. The doors also have a sturdy locking mechanism and are reinforced with steel so they are very secure. The second door has a pin mechanism to keep it shut, so you only have to open both doors when you need to. The windows on the wall and door both provide plenty of light, but the entire top of the shed is actually translucent skylights so it is very well lit and bright. My husband is also 6'4" tall and can comfortably walk around inside. We have had several spring storms bringing wind, snow, sleet, and rain since we assembled this shed and have had no issues with leaking water whatsoever! We had no problems assembling it, but just be aware it does take time. It took about 10 hours for my husband and I to put it together. I would definitely recommend assembling it on completely level ground. If it was unlevel it would be much more difficult to assemble. The manual was very clear and the directions were easy to follow. The parts were all labeled very well and easy to identify. The manual tells you exactly which parts you need for each step and even the hardware is separated into individual labeled bags for each stage of assembly. Overall, we are very happy with our shed! After a year it is still standing after 2 winters in New England. Snow slides right off no more shoveling the shed roof off. I build a 12x12 deck platform out of 2x6 for this to site on and works great. The took a day with two people. It has held together pretty well. The 1 thing I hate the most is the doors. They really need to re-engineer the doors as they are junk. They slide and move, I think I will need to rebuild this summer and make them more solid. No leads, it holds the ATV and Lawn tractor.. I love my storage shed!! As long as you follow the directions on YouTube and in the booklet you’ll be fine. It took us a total of 8 hours split between two days. It has a good amount of space! If wayfair continues to carry this shed after my review and seeing the other reviews about this product then that just shows how much they care about having quality products on their site. At first we thought we were missing all the screws. Customer support finally is sending me screws but I bought my own because it takes a full day for them to respond to one questions, another day for them to ask a question. Another day for them to respond. It really is BS. I am aware that we should open everything and seperate all sides to see if anything is missing but once you've opened all 3 large boxes and taken out the items it will cost you $300 plus to box it up and try and ship it back. We were missing over 20. TWENTY pieces. Thankfully we are knowledgable in fabricating and adjusting, but we had to make brackets for the roof. Missing door handles, Missing ALL the plexigas for the two windows and two windows on door. Missing ALL door hinges. Missing the plate that secures the door handle. Missing ALL the upright support on the inside that supports the walls. Some plastic peices that cover the gaps and makes everything uniform looking are MISSING. It is ridiculous that wayfair would continue to carry from this seller. I won't even get on wayfair to purchase anything ever again and i suggest you do the same. The Suncast 8x10 Shed is a nice addition to our property for our storage needs. I will admit the process of putting together the shed was not as easy as other reviews had suggested (however that is probably user error). Having a level base is extremely important as any uneven surface will cause the roofing and doors to not align as needed and will create some issues while putting it together. Wayfair then sent a replacement shed, but I had to take down the old one (as they said they don’t do demo work). This shed is nice! It’s not what I expected but so far it’s been good. It is very windy where we live and so far the shed has been super sturdy. It is resin and has channels. Not sure how the floor will hold up, but the walls once assembled seem great. Assembly is a lot of prep and it takes 2-3 people. Comes in pretty heavy boxes so be prepared.
