I like the look of it and the veneers look realistic. There are lots of pieces so don't plan on it being a quick build. I did on my own with no assistance. Pretty good instructions -- I did miss the strip that covers the seem of the 2 flimsy panels that go across the back of the lower cabinet so watch for that. There are no extra screws/fasteners so keep track of your parts. I found it odd that there were no covers for the shelf screws that are very visible, so I covered them with small brown felt chair leg pads. Brown contact paper would be better.. Jayne. Columbus, OH. I like the design, you can’t tell by the picture this is hunter green. I bought an open box it had everything was there but the directions on how to put it together. CS was great they were able to get those for me. The dowels in between each and the legs the screws were off center and did not lock into place. Assembly was pretty simple and easy to do. I purchased this primarily because I loved the vintage aesthetic, and it definitely delivers. It looks fantastic in my living room and is just the right size—not too bulky, but substantial enough to make a statement. One of my favorite features is that the turntable is hidden beneath the top, and you can completely close the lid while playing an LP. That gives it a much cleaner look than many decorative record players I’ve owned in the past. The built-in CD player is also a nice bonus and works very well. Like many all-in-one decorative record players, the built-in speakers leave something to be desired. The sound is perfectly acceptable for casual listening, but it’s not going to satisfy anyone looking for high-fidelity audio. Fortunately, it has outputs that allow me to connect my own powered speakers, and that makes a huge difference in sound quality. Overall, if you’re looking for a stylish, compact record player with multiple playback options and you’re willing to use external speakers for the best sound, I think this is an excellent value..
