This rug has a very classic design and is very soft. It does show splotches of greybrown appearing in different areas, but I discovered it is the lay of the pile in the rug. Brushed one way, it is white and the opposite way, it shows up as what I thought were stains in this rug. It probably should be vacuumed daily, and it will likely wear for a long time. I was looking for a rug just inside my office deck door that would be comfortable under bare feet, dog friendly, and stay fairly low profile. This one ended up being exactly what I was hoping for. The color is a soft blend of grays that works well with my flooring and doesn't compete with the rest of the room. I especially like that the pattern is subtle and doesn't draw attention to itself. The rug feels soft underfoot, which was important since I frequently walk through this doorway barefoot. It is thin enough for a doorway but still feels comfortable.
