I use this too keep a head of lettuce. The lettuce stays fresher longer. If the head is too big, I cut in half. Lock and Lock containers are the best in MHO. These butter and cheese containers are small and easy to fit in my refrigerator. I use the cheese container for my parmesan and the other container to keep the butter I cook with fresh so I don't use the butter dish that is included at all.
