It accommodates a standard mattress (sold separately), and it has three mattress height settings for an adjustable design. With the proper additional rails and pieces (sold separately), it can convert into a day bed, toddler bed, and twin- or full-sized bed, growing with your child as they age.

Great quality. Beautiful. Sturdy. Easy to adjust (easiest with two, but I could get it done in five minutes on my own). Easy to build and transition to toddler bed. Haven’t tried the matching bed frame yet. We did have to call to ensure we got the correct frame to go with it. I would recommend that to be sure you don’t order the wrong one. I would add that we ordered the frame pieces that let you convert to a full bed. We were afraid when we wanted them later they would be no longer sold. However, we ultimately decided to switch to a different big bed solution now that we’re here, because it’s too big and doesn’t allow for putting a trundle under. Our baby also chewed on the frame while teething. It’s a great crib, but the nom markings made it a little less attractive for later use or selling. That’s not to discourage buying the awesome crib.
