It took a day to assemble. I hired the crew from Handy via Wayfair. I bought the sheet shingles for the roofing since it doesn’t come with the kit and they were able to place it. I paid for a concrete slab to be made for it. Overall the whole project was about 4500. I am located in Florida and I will have to strap it down in case of a hurricane and hope for the best.. Ivana. I was impressed with the quality of the materials and the instructions were pretty clear. I put mine on top of of a concrete pad. Also did a row of cinder blocks, which required a little customizing where the door fit in the wall. This cedar shed is perfect as an additional bunk house/office for our vacation/remote work location. My contractor, who assembled it had a few issues as the directions are pretty basic. So pay attention to part numbers as the illustrated plans indicate what goes where. It arrives on two pallets with wall panels that already have the siding attached and roof panels already shingled. He bought pressure treated 2x4s and better plywood for the base/floor since the cabin didn't come with all the pieces of flooring needed (super annoying) and making 6 or 8 joist boxes is kinda silly but due to fitting everything on pallets, that's necessary from a manufacturing standpoint. So we improvised. In these photos, we had painted the floor already, preparing for laying the final flooring. We will be insulating and adding a nice whitewashed paneling for the interior walls. We may run an extension cord out there or actually run power properly. Not sure yet. My contractor billed me 30 hours for assembly and he worked alone. Great shed! Hinges are continuous from top to bottom to prevent sagging. Smartside siding is treated to prevent fungal decay and insect infestation.

The exterior walls are so thin that I would never recommend stapling a vapor barrier on the interior because the Staples come through on the outside even if they are very short. After reading the reviews and seeing from multiple folks that it’s not horrible to put together, I ordered this greenhouse and received it in July. It arrives in lots and lots of boxes, so be sure you have lots of space for sorting and storing. I received a box with updated roof instructions that were to be used instead of the ones that came with the greenhouse. The build wasn’t too bad, I’d maybe not do it again at the end of July, beginning of Aug. I would also recommend to make sure you have a strong marriage if you are putting this together with your husband, especially if he likes to keep a level handy or it could result in a missing husband and a mysterious new flowerbed in the back of the yard. Everything basically went well with the build, the new roof instructions were a bit confusing, but I got it figured out. I’ve stained the outside and painting the inside at the moment, so I’m not moved in completely yet. It’s a great size, the benches that fold down work great and give you so much work space. My 10’x12’ she’s kit arrived as a 6’x 6’x6’ package. I had previously poured a concrete slab and placed a 4” high conc. block base. There were good written instructions provided along with a DVD movie and photos. It went together without a problem. Mine even has a tree growing through it!
