When I learned that Rifle paper company did collaboration – I knew I was on board! The rug came rolled up very nicely in a thick plastic covering. You should be aware that it is ia floor covering, not plush, but perfect for a little softness. If you want it to be a little more cushioning under your feet, I would recommend buying a rug pad. The design is gorgeous. The colors are subtle but saturated. These muted tones will go nicely with the bed, dresser, and nightstands that are coming in the next few weeks. Exactly what I wanted. Excellent packaging. It was wrapped around a hard tube, wrapped in easily removable plastic, and the ends were packaged with cardboard. The color is purple with lavender and green. I have a gripper pad underneath. It’s easy to vacuum with the roller beaters on as well. It’s not soft if you walk barefoot but I wasn’t going for soft. The first large area rug I’ve purchased that didn’t need a long time to settle. Just the very end needs a few more days. The pictures were taken immediately after I put it down. I bought this rug years ago and it has survived 2 moves, 2 cats, and tons of roommates. This rug is quite literally my cats favorite scratching post and somehow it has held up way better than expected. It is only now, years later, starting to show signs of piling from their picking. I've been extremely happy with how durable this rug is and also the beautiful neutral pattern. It looks great every design change and every move.
