Because they are going on a second floor ceiling, which is vaulted and might be 24 feet high. We have to have our electricians come out to install these. I installed at my garage , what a difference in brightness, garage now got more light per square feet than ever before. Excellent product and for sure more economical than the other ones. Usually use the regular T8 bulbs which are not to cheap, also no have to use the ballasts which are a real head ache when start troubleshooting and they are Xtra expensive too. Received our led lights. We put them in our bedroom closet. They put off a lot of light and it makes it a easier to see the contents of our closet. They were very easy to install.
