When we saw this LED fixture it seemed too good to be true. It is the right size to cover the the hole from our old fixtures, is low profile and sleek looking and energy efficient. We replaced the old fixture in my kitchen and I have been just living this new light. The LED is brighter but not as harsh as the old fluorescent lights. This commercial grade downlight is ideal for new construction when specified with a 4" x 2 1/8" square or octagonal J box. It is also conveniently UL Listed for wet conditions only indoor wet locations such as above a shower. For exterior they would need to be installed in damp location such as a covered porch, soffit, etc.. A place where the fixtures would not receive direct saturation.

Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult. Had we gone with the 13" we wouldn't have to touch up paint around it, but I also like that they aren't that noticeable and something bigger might have been too obtrusive as this is just a small rectangle between multiple rooms. These are great lights. The adjustable feature for color temperature works very well, and the lights themselves seem to be of good quality. These look better than the average thin wafer lights we install. I thought when I ordered them they would change colors, but my electrician said they don't. I like that you can flip the inner circle up and direct the light where you want it. They look substantial without taking a lot of space in the ceiling to install. I would definitely buy them again..
