The receiver fit right into the fan base without a bit of trouble. When you first see the receiver, you think there’s no way it’ll fit because it looks too big. But it will fit just right. No worries. I would recommend to buy either a cradle for the remote or at the very least, a specified place to keep it as the remote is quite small and unobtrusive.
