This is a very solid deck box. The installation was kinda annoying and it could be because I'm more of a picture follower and read when something doesn't make sense but the metal bar needs to line up with the notch in the middle after you connect the latch. I had it all screwed down and realized it and had to double screw that. Another one you have to watch out for are the hinges. But it's nice knowing this thing should last and it's very large. When the first compartment is full, you start on the second compartment. Once this side is full the first side is ready to empty, and the cycle continues. For larger families that create more compost material, the interior divider between the chambers can be removed to allow the entire composter to be used for single composting. The strongly reinforced barrel is UV protected and contains multiple air vents to promote aerobic decomposition. The large opening and sliding doors allow for the easy addition of waste and collection of ready compost. A unique feature is a gear and handle which ensures easier turning of the drum and the geared ratchet will automatically lock rotation in any position (a feature that is not seen in most compost tumblers at this price point and volume). The frame is powder-coated zinc and its open front design allows for easy access to a collection of ready-to-use compost from the barrel with plenty of room for a compost cart or bucket to slide in underneath. By rotating the door face down you are able to slide the door open and let the compost fall into the cart. Bought this to use as a pump house for our above ground pool filter/salt unit. Only drawback I've found (thus far) is that the walls are VERY thin. We had to cut holes for the hoses to go through, and I could see potential issue with the cut areas cracking (2" x 2" holes...2 of them, one on each end in the back panel). Obviously hoping that won't be the case. UPDATE - Pumphouse is up, painted, and looks (and functions) ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!
