We bought this for my 4 year old for his birthday with the intention that he will grow and develop into the toy. We have been so impressed with it as he can turn Botley and the remote on and code him to make a train and a frog all by himself. It's brilliant that it has so many funny features as well like lights and dance mode which he can now do by himself. When Botley follows the line he loves the whistles and noises Botley makes while he is going along. An economical way to bring rods into the classroom. Use with 12-18 students.

These rods appear to be of good quality. The plastic "lid" can be challenging to open and students might end up dropping them as a result. This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. There is lots of space in the package so it isn't hard to get the lid back on. The code and go robot mouse is a fantastic way to teach coding to young children. My boys are 5 and 7 and both of them absolutely love it! The mouse itself is quite a simple design, meaning it is easy for young children to operate and code, and they both especially liked the action button, which made the mouse perform a random action! My 5 year old is still quite heavy handed, but this mouse has definitely stood up to his play, so I would say it's very durable.
