Haven't quite had a chance to install this but the shipping was less than desirable. The faces of the stainless did have a protective film that prevented scratches but it had some dents and bends. Luckily I think everything still lines up correctly -- if you care about dents I would maybe go with something else. I don't since I'm going to be putting metal pots and pans on it anyways.. Owen. The tile is made from a hardboard and is mounted to a metal rectangle. The hooks hang down from the metal plate in the back and are about 2.5 in. from the base. A hanger is attached to the metal plate and is about 1.5 in. long. Lots of room to hang up using a screw or paneling nail. Great for the home or office to hold keys leashes or just about anything.
