It seems to be of good quality and quite sturdy. Another thing that makes this desk lamp dreamy is that you can be sitting near and under its beam without the feeling of being slow-cooked. Next, I cant forget another neat feature when you are done for the day, this lamp is not. This lamp moonlights as a nightlight. You hold the power button down for three seconds, and the softest glow comes from the top of the base. You can push the stem back into the base with the bulb sitting on top like a flower.
