I will say that I did not pay enough attention to the description when I purchased this and I thought would run on a battery. It will not, it has to be plugged in. This is my first stick vacuum, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I would give the suction 3 stars and the features 5 stars. I love the charging stand, I'm glad it doesn't have to go on the wall. It's also light and gets into corners easily.
