The nickel finish is a worthwhile upgrade for a contemporary look. I chose the Lake Mist glass (after viewing choices on Sterling website) which offers a compromise between clear glass and 100 frosted. I like the combination of transparency at top with gradual opacity from a pattern of frosted dots that merge lower on the doors . Doors have a CleanCoat surface on the bath side that have kept them pretty spot free, even with my hard water, although I use a squeegee regularly as well. One of the doors did come with a horizontal line mark on the lower frosted surface, which I assume was from the cardboard packaging rubbing against it. Haven't been able to remove but not very noticeable. Installation took a few hours - measured twice then cut conservatively and used metal file to ensure close fit. Look for YouTube videos for tips on drilling into ceramic tile if your tub surround has it - saved me big headache. WARNING!!!!!!!!!! Important UPDATE! - DO NOT Purchase this Sliding Shower Door! On 2/7/2025, a horrific accident occurred in my home involving this product: the sliding glass door shattered and injured my 14-year-old granddaughter while she was taking a shower; she was rushed by ambulance to the nearest Emergency Room. I have attached pictures to alert potential customers of the dangers. This was an extremely traumatic ordeal for my family. I contacted Wayfair to notify the company of the incident on 2/8/2025, I was assured that someone would contact me within 5 business days and was given an apology. On 2/13/2025, I contacted the company again since no one had reached out to me, and I spoke to Mitch C, who once again apologized and promised that someone from Wayfair’s Claims department would contact me in 5 business days, he followed up with an email with his phone number if I had any questions or didn’t hear back from the claims department. On 2/21/2025, I still had not heard back from anyone at Wayfair so I called once again and spoke to Mitch C, However, this time he seemed annoyed that I was contacting he asked why I hadn’t sent an email to the claims department and that he would once again “help me” and “expedite” my complaint to the correct department for resolve. One 3/21/2025 and you guessed it NOT ONE SINGLE person from Wayfair has called to rectify this matter. First, you can't really beat Wayfair price with free shipping. The packaging was robust enough to prevent damage to this large and heavy item. The nickel finish is a worthwhile upgrade for a contemporary look. I chose the Lake Mist glass (after viewing choices on Sterling website) which offers a compromise between clear glass and 100 frosted. I like the combination of transparency at top with gradual opacity from a pattern of frosted dots that merge lower on the doors . Doors have a CleanCoat surface on the bath side that have kept them pretty spot free, even with my hard water, although I use a squeegee regularly as well. One of the doors did come with a horizontal line mark on the lower frosted surface, which I assume was from the cardboard packaging rubbing against it. Haven't been able to remove but not very noticeable. Installation took a few hours - measured twice then cut conservatively and used metal file to ensure close fit. Look for YouTube videos for tips on drilling into ceramic tile if your tub surround has it - saved me big headache.
