The sink was part of a total countertop package from an installer. We liked the look of the farmhouse style sink, but wasn't certain we could affordably "fit" the sink into our design. The installer offered this sink, which is a bit shallower than some farmhouse style sinks, and it fits perfectly without having to demo the cabinetry. It's a beautiful sink, and just what we wanted. After a full month of use all is well so far. We tend to be fairly gentle with our sink and pans (stainless steel) in it while washing. We don’t leave food items sitting in the sink for long periods of time, and have not had any issues with it discoloring/staining. I love the color variations that don't make it one dimensional. The picture on the site, to me, appeared as though there was a rough texture but it is very smooth. The opposite side is ribbed if tgats the look you're going for. I was initially concerned with it being paired with a black countertop, but I couldn't be happier.
