The unfinished barn door is made of 100% natural spruce. The surface is unfinished and ready to be stained. The unfinished door can be stained or painted to the desired finish/color.

Good quality for the price. I needed a 4' sliding door for a storage room in my basement. I thought of building one myself, but the price of the materials and hardware would have been highter than the cost of this kit and everything needed came in the box. I put a coat of polyurethane on the parts before assembly. Assembly was straight forward but not easy. It would probably be easier with a smaller door. Getting the tongue and groove panels lined up was a bit of a challenge with so many of them required. I'm happy with the result. It's a good solid door and it's easy to open and close.. Dan. Love love love these doors. Used them between the master bedroom and master bath. They look great and the frosted glass lets in some light while providing privacy. It was a bit of work for our contractor to set the hardware as the doors are are not prepped for that but we knew that from previous reviews Even with that our local building supply store wanted 3000 for a “custom” door of this design.
