As we were missing a few inches to the ceiling with the included chimney component, we ordered the longer version directly from the manufacturer. Including a picture of the range hood after install, and a second picture after painting. Our only issue with the product is that it “whistles” at its lower speeds and due to slightly inconsistent suction, the metal grills were vibrating against the lower horizontal frame. I love this little door, but I was going for a kitschy look in my space. This door material is like a very thick shower curtain and the handle doesn’t look amazing. Also there will be gaps in the top where the track is and the sides do not mount completely flush. You can see shadows through it slightly with the right lighting.
