I am so happy to have come across this curtain rod. My cheap store brand was not cutting it and would often fall if I yanked the curtains closed just the wrong way. This rod comes with all the pieces you’d need to make whatever length you want—the size I needed was out of stock but buying one size up was perfect anyway since I could just use fewer connecting pieces. This is very sturdy! There is a texture between the pieces where the bar screws in to other pieces to lengthen. I don’t mind it and think it is subtle enough but I do hear a little bit of a noise when opening and closing from the metal grommets rubbing along the ribbed parts of the rod. Very hard to find narrow base brackets that allow hook part to rotate. This is the one! We used them vertically to put curtains in closet door frame (no more sliding doors for us. This non-standard installation required some modification - basically drilling into the hook part so the screw can carry the modest weight of rod and curtain. Fortunately, the hook is solid metal, not hollow and was able to accept the screw and carry the weight. This is the second time we purchased these brackets for a vertical install for a closet door curtain. Great curtain rod! Adds a touch of industrial, very sturdy and easy to install. The only issue I had was with the middle connection.
