This light fixture is beautiful. Its is heavy and very solid. My husband was able to hang it in about an hour by himself (although it would have been easier with 2 people due to the weight). The 2 temporary bars that allow the fixture to hang while you connect the electric wires was a great idea to make installation easier. The shades soften the light, but it could be used without the shades for a slightly different look.
