We were moving, so although this bed came with white glove delivery, we were unable to have them set it up before as it needed to be moved to a new house. Because of that we had to build it ourselves. Unfortunately, a couple pieces of the hardware were not delivered with the bed, including 24 feet of the bed, but it was an easy enough fix to go get them from a hardware store. ***EDIT: Wayfair doesn't retain my original paragraph spacing so this may be a bit hard to read!*** Very close to be a very good bed frame. ************** Pros: ************** -------------- 1. The white linen seems to be of decent quality and is a good color. -------------- 2. Build quality seems to be well made. -------------- 3. Slats are covered with some felt like material. -------------- 4. Assembly steps aren't overly complicated. -------------- 5. Good height for me and has space for a 7" tall storage container underneath. ************** Cons: ************** -------------- 1. All the washers and metal plates were corroded, however, the bolts themselves seem ok. I made a trip to the hardware store to get replacement washers. I also cleaned up the metal plates with isopropyl alcohol as much as I could just so that not too much of the corrosion gets on the mattress and sheets. I kept wiping with isopropyl alcohol-soaked towels until I no longer saw any corrosion residue coming off. -------------- 2. The screws inside the rounded corners by the head board were difficult to screw in due to the tight curved space. I had to go dig out a very short screw driver from my tool box. I guess I should have expected this due to the curved design, but I thought I should point that out. -------------- 3. One corner of the foot board was a struggle to attach to the side board due to some sort of misalignment, either the brackets are offset too far or the pre-drilled hole is too far. It took a lot of muscle to force the two pieces to line up just enough to force the screw in. It does appear to have a larger gap between the two boards at this corner than the other corner that had no issues, but it's not too bad once assembled. -------------- 4. One corner of the foot board had about a 2 x 3-inch area that didn't get enough batting/filling so it looks slightly flatter than the rest of the bed frame, but again, not a huge deal, since it will mostly be covered up by bed sheets. -------------- 6. The linen covering the curved portion on the head board appears to be under stretched tension, but not sure if it is really avoidable due to the design. At least it's no too visible from a distance. -------------- 7. The foot board doesn't have good support for the mattress so I sink in a little bit more sitting there compared to sitting at the left or right side, but not a huge deal. -------------- 8. There were 4 small spots that had either some dirt or corrosion residue on them, but they wiped away cleanly, just something to look out for when buying white linen furniture. ************** Despite all the cons I listed, I still like this bed frame, I just wished there wasn't so much corrosion on the metal hardware, which made me feel like I shouldn't have paid full price for it.. Was nervous to purchase headboard at this price point without seeing in person. Waited what felt like an eternity for shipping. This frame was worth the wait. Assembly was relatively easy with 2 people. The fabric is luxurious. Platform height is perfect with a boxspring (required). Definitely a larger piece of furniture so be sure to measure space before ordering as it is not returnable. I was nervous ordering a bed this expensive online without seeing it in person, but I’m glad I took the chance. The pictures don’t really do it justice. The wood is beautiful, the upholstery looks high-end, and the entire bed feels extremely solid once assembled. The delivery team even commented on how sturdy it was compared to most beds they put together. What surprised me most was how expensive it looks in person. I honestly think it looks like something you’d find in a luxury hotel or model home. The proportions are perfect, and the combination of the upholstered headboard and wood frame gives it a very custom feel. I’ve owned plenty of furniture that looked great online and disappointing in person. This was the opposite. It exceeded my expectations. If you’re considering it, I’d absolutely recommend it.. Lets start with the fact that its a SOLID and super easy to assemble bed, like 15 minutes. All pieces feel heavy and well made. However, the COLOR was a disappointment as it not close to the stock photo. I ordered the "linen white" and it's way more BEIGE in person, straight up beige. Much darker than the photos too. Im attaching pics. Aside from the color, there's ZERO issues, it's beautiful regardless just beware of color discrepancy. Giving it 5 stars because the quality is definitely there.. Amelia.
