Our new Avenco gel memory foam mattress is very good for our 9 year old son’s bed. We ordered a queen to replace his older one, which was way too firm. This new one is just firm enough, but you still sink into the foam a bit. When I lay down on it, I wake up much less sore, because the other one actually hurt my back. Ok, the biggest issue right now is the smell. We are still trying to get that to go away. The directions said to strip the bedding during the day and put a fan in the direction of the bed with a window open. It’s only been four days since we opened it up, so we are crossing our fingers that the smell subsides. Thus, the reason for the 4 stars. For comfort, it definitely deserves 5 stars.. Maureen. A medium-firm vinyl mattress is a comfortable and supportive choice for a wide range of sleepers. Constructed with foam material, the mattress contours to the body's shape, alleviating pressure points and promoting proper spinal alignment. The medium firmness level of the mattress provides adequate support for back, stomach, and side sleepers, while also minimizing motion transfer, making it a good option for couples with different sleeping preferences. One of the most significant benefits of a vinyl mattress is its waterproof nature. Vinyl is highly resistant to spills, stains, and moisture, making it a great option for children, pets, or anyone who may be prone to accidents or spills. Vinyl is also a highly durable material that can withstand wear and tear, maintaining its shape for years to come. This can be especially beneficial for people who are looking for a long-lasting mattress that will provide consistent support and comfort over time. Additionally, vinyl is an easy-to-clean material, making it simple to wipe down with a damp cloth or disinfect with a cleaning solution. This makes it a low-maintenance mattress that can be kept clean and hygienic with minimal effort. Overall, a medium firm vinyl mattress is a great option for people who are looking for a comfortable and supportive mattress that is durable, hypoallergenic, easy to clean, and versatile. The vinyl cover adds additional benefits such as waterproofing and easy maintenance, making it a practical choice for people with allergies, children, or pets

It comes all in one box mattress and bed frame so it's heavy. Everything was tied in really good with zip ties which took forever to take out of the box because you have to cut each individual zip tie. Of course the mattress was an easy setup it comes compressed so just open and let it expand for a few of hours. However, the bed frame is a nightmare! The most difficult to assembly. It literally took me 3 hours and the instruction manual was horrible. The pictures are not clear enough to understand so you have to kind of guess where things go. it just took forever! In any case, once everything was assembled it was exactly what I hoped for, and it was actually comfortable if you prefer a firm mattress. Definitely a space saver, it easily stored away in my closet. Other than the tedious, and difficult setup, I'm actually happy with the bed overall. however, I never want to have to set up a bed frame like this again.. Elizabeth. Amarillo, TX. Sun Aug 16 2026
