After reading some reviews on putting this bed together, I was concerned. However, it only took two people 2 1/2 hours to put this bed together. It is very sturdy and the grandkids love sleeping up top as well as the space below to work and play. We bought two of these for a small space and they will work out well! One box had a chipped piece (I think the metal piece in the box must have hit it during the shipping process), but both Wayfair and the manufacturer have responded quickly to replace it. Overall the bed is nice. My son really wanted a loft type bed so we chose this one for the look and also based on the good reviews. A lot of people said it was fairly easy to put together. The directions kinda sucked and it was just annoying to put together. Everything was labeled nicely at least. The insert with the Allen type key bolt isn’t our favorite type of securing mechanism but we cut the Allen key and made a drill bit making it a lot easier. Some of the wood pieces weren’t perfect or hollowed out enough. A piece actually came damaged but Wayfair sent out a new one right away, which was much appreciated. It doesn’t feel like the most solid structure. It’s fine to be sleeping on but I did warn my 4 year old not to be jumping or hanging on it. Time will tell how it holds up.. Gina. Ny, NY. Poor instructions, missing pre-drilled holes, warped boards, a cracked board. Very frustrating to assemble. I’d look elsewhere. Update - after a little difficulty ordering replacement parts, they sent me the entire bed. I needed 1 board, 1 bolt, and 1 bolt receiver. Now I have 79 lbs of the rest of the bed to dispose of.
