The panel display on the range sometimes talks back to you when cleaning it, but you just have to remind it that you're not cooking now, just cleaning. I'm not able to use my Pyrex coffee percolator on this range, which is too bad, but it's OK- the pots and pans you use have to be appropriate for the technology. This is a very well built range hood. Plenty of power for clearing smoke from frying and steam from hot pots. Reduction of odors from the kitchen while cooking are noticeable! Light is plenty bright and even on the highest setting, fan noise is not objectionable. Black stainless color blends well with other similar colored appliances in our kitchen from GE, Samsung, and KitchenAid. Only concerns are that you absolutely should inspect both the box and appliance prior to installation. Ours arrived with a large and noticeable dent in the hood that could not be repaired. Wayfair support was helpful swapping this. Carefully inspected the new unit prior to installation. No issues. Note this does not come with a 110v cord. If your installation is using a 110v outlet for power, you will need to purchase a grounded appliance cord separately. Note that photos were taken with light on brightest setting. Needless to say, we are not fond of the looks AND it barely catches the smoke of the food we cook. We can’t wait to get the new hood up. We are waiting for our HVAC contractor to come out to install it. When it is up, I will post before and after pictures of it. I only gave it 4 stars, because I love the look, but I don’t know if it works well yet. I will upgrade the stars if the pull is good. Update We had the contractor install our range hood. It is so pretty, and it works great. We like the fan—it works so much better than our old one. I upgraded the stars to a 5 star rating. On the right and left front of the hood is a feature where you can wave your hand like “wax on, wax off” to turn on or turn off the fan and light.
