Update 121625 - Ok, Doors have been installed now my husband will put holes in for the doors for the handle hardware and wait for our warmer weather to paint doors (black). He will paint the trim and doors black. But these doors provide such a much more expensive and quality look. The contrast between the original doors and these 5 panel doors are night and day and the soundproofing is sooo much better. We have a open concept home and to have the solid core makes such a difference. So much so we were going to leave one of our doors that is not seen in the main area original but he had me order another one today. I will say these doors were prices extremely well over the big box stores or any competitor. I can not express how much these doors have increased not only the value of our home but the beauty. Original 111425 My husband has been disappointed with the current doors we have in home (hollow core and plain). Our home is an open plan and the doors being as they are you hear everything and this was his biggest complaint outside of the fact that they were plain and ugly. He saw these and had me order three of them immediately. First assessment, well packaged and secured. The doors are very heavy and sturdy. Bought this double screen door because we were screening the deck at our lake house. We have extra wide steps up to the deck and needed a door wider than the standard 32 or 36 inch. Listing said for width less than 68" it could be modified, so we decided to go for it. I was surprised, the instructions were complete, clear, and easy to follow. (So often you get the skimpy badly translated ones.) With a little help from a neighbor we got 2 sets, front and back of deck, installed in about 3-4 hours. Hubby is a metal fabricator, not a carpenter, but he said it was pretty easy once he understood their system. I would say it's a 2 person job, unless you're a really good carpenter. We have 1 side set as a stationary sidelight, only opening the other side. We'll put some planters or knick knacks on the steps in front of the stationary side. The material quality is decent, and the assembly process was relatively straightforward, which made for a positive initial experience. However, a significant drawback was the absence of a critical component—the header board. I had to source this separately, which added unnecessary time, effort, and inconvenience. Including the header board with the shipment would have greatly improved the overall experience. In terms of overall quality, there is room for improvement. Using sturdier materials would enhance durability, and incorporating better support at the bottom would prevent the door from feeling like it is hanging without adequate stability.. Anbarasu.
