[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally, a dryer that actually dries clothes when it says the cycle is complete. We purchased the dryer and washer together and both have been great so far. I am only planning on speaking to the dryer though. First the positives, - The dryer uses heat pump tech, meaning no ventilation needed, which was a huge bonus for us. - It is noticeably gentler on clothes. - Dries clothes and comforters completely in a single cycle, without needing to rotate them. - It is very quiet, very different from what I've had in the past. - Lint trap is very easy to clean - With the app, it has a decent amount of features and customizations. - Looks very modern. Now the negatives, - Scatches easily. It already got a small scratch that happened during the install process. For the price, I'd expect better durability. - It take on average twice as long to dry clothes due to this being a ventless dryer. I had some buyers remorse after I purchased this and read some additional reviews about how it had trouble heating up. I didn't realize it didn't use a standard electric spa heater. When I saw "Friction Heating" I thought that was in addition to normal electric heating and was a motor heat recovery unit and an energy saving feature. This was very new to me as the last time I bought a spa was 30 years ago. After installing and using it for going on 4 months, I must say I am impressed with the function and performance so far. It does take around 24 hours to get to from 75 to 100 degrees but once it got there it maintains the set temperature very well. Some of the reviews mentioned that it had a hard time heating in cold weather and maybe that is true for them but here in Florida I haven't had any problems even during some of the 30 degree cold fronts we had. The spa shell is very solid and seems durable. It has decent number of jets and water movement and we are really enjoying this spa. Now for my observations on what could be better. As some of the other reviews have mentioned the outer shell is very thin vinyl panels. Not a problem so far but they are pretty flimsy and hurricane force winds might cause them to buckle. The pump and control access panel is this same vinyl material and it is held in place by screws so to access anything you have to unscrew it rather than via a hinged door access like most spas. The single speed pump works fine but it would be nice to be able to add a little more massage power to the jets. A two speed pump would be preferable. Lastly, the instruction manual should be specific to a single spa model and not cover multiple models where some of the functions and features aren't pertinent to the one you are working with. Would I recommend this spa? For the solid inner shell, user friendly controls, and the included accessories, in this price range, all delivered free to your home in less than a week? As it turned out- evrything went well, even when I needed to change the delivery and installation date. Also, I researched and learned that I got a better price ordering directly from LG. I had a complicated install with it being a stacked unit and installed in a smaller, yet adaquate laundry closet. The installers were excellent and gained my full confidence. I enjoy soaking and using the jets after a long day working on the yard. I sometimes use it with the water temp on the cooler side to be refreshing on hot days. The cover has not held up. Very quiet compared to most brands I’ve had. I do think it could be a littler cooler on max but it will eventually cooldown the room and maintain good temp after.
