Found the perfect installation product! I was looking to make an old fixture smart automated and this SkyPlug canopy kit allowed me do just that. After installing the outlet and plugging in my Eurofase fixture I realized how dirty the glass was. The Skyplug allowed me the ease of unplugging and cleaning my glass fixture on the ground and then quickly plugging it back into the ceiling. Where has this amazing invention been? You can use it with almost any hanging light! I think I might just install these in the whole house. Overall, I like this desk. I wanted a white desk with a back panel to help conceal the abundance of cords and equipment I have (my desk is for both work and gaming so I have 2 computers that hide under the desk. Overall, this feels like a quality desk. I love the shape and it was relatively simple to put together (did it by myself, would’ve been even easier with a second person). My only complaint is about weight distribution. I have two monitors, and they’re curved so they’re a little heavier (16lbs each). Because the back panel doesn’t sit at the back edge of the desk, and is instead recessed a little bit, you need to be mindful of how much weight you’re putting on the back of the desk. I have a dual arm monitor mount that holds both monitors and clamps to the back of the desk, but I couldn’t use it- after fastening it to the back of the desk, I noticed the front parts of the side walls of the desk raising up off the ground. I went back to 2 regular monitor stands, but even then, I had to use some shimssmall furniture pads to keep the desk level. Note that the desk feels very study, and it’s not that it’s wobbling- but if you put a significant amount of weight (2 heavy-ish monitors) on the back edge of the desk, it will lift the front part of the desk off the ground a bit. If you have just a laptop or a single monitorkeyboardmouse on the desk, this won’t be an issue at all. Just be mindful of how much weight your stuff weighs!. Regan. Thu Apr 30 2026
